This book contains eight chapters in which the problem of translation and possibility to translate some phrases and discursive practices are studied. The emphasis is on layers of meaning as they stood in original and displaced discursive environment. The central question posed is how is it possible that similar phenomena (such as evil, violence, atrocities, gender abuse and various other degradations of basic human values) are transferable from culture to culture without need of deeper understanding of national canons and historical landmarks of other culture. Two key chapters are published in English to be widely available.
