Microteaching is one of the techniques of acquiring essential teaching competences and of perfecting them. It consists of workshops based on small training sessions of certain teaching skills, recorded by video camera and later analyzed by small groups of students headed by a teacher, methodologist or a practice supervisor. By observing and repeating the teaching-method practice and by discussing their own and others’ experience, the participants of the workshop get constructive feedback about successful and unsuccessful behavior in certain segments of teaching skills that form a complex teacher’s competence.
