Abstract
The focus of this study is the (re)interpretation of the myth of the New Woman in the literary narrative of the Austrian writer Mela Hartwig. The corpus selected for interpretation and analysis within the previously defined context consists of the author’s paradigmatic works of prose, which were written during the so-called “Golden Twenties” and/or take this period as their subject matter.
