The theoretical section examines the fundamental characteristics of writing skills, their role in learning English as a foreign language, writing strategies, the potential application of artificial intelligence, and the influence of affective factors, specifically motivation, attitudes, and anxiety. The empirical section is based on a study conducted among students in language-focused study programs, focusing on their attitudes, motivation, instructional experiences, perceptions of their own competencies, and use of digital tools. The results point to the need for a more systematic approach to developing academic EFL writing through continuous teaching practice and appropriate pedagogical support.
