The preconditions of successful assistance to children who mourn the deceased are; knowing and acknowledging the issues of death as an integral part of life, understanding the nature of children\u2019s confrontation with death and the possible mistakes of adults who try to help a mourning child. The mistakes can result from ignorance but also from unresolved personal experiences with death, loss and grief.
