Considering the important role of music and creativity in the child\u2019s overall development, the aim of this paper is to point out the importance of fostering these phenomena in the music education from the child\u2019s first encounter with the music and instrument. As one of the fundamental methodological approaches which lead to the stated aim, is stressed the child\u2019s creative expression through improvisation. This paper presents the child\u2019s true experience of sound and music through spontaneous improvisation in musical &#8211; pedagogical concept of Functional Music Pedagogy Elly Ba\u0161i\u0107. It was concluded that an overall development of a child\u2019s personality, freedom and spontaneity, child\u2019s active experience of matter and a love for music are important factors for fostering child\u2019s creative expression that emphasize humanistic and positive psychology and musical -pedagogical concept of Functional Music Pedagogy as well. The child\u2019s experience of music and sound as a result of creative expression through spontaneous improvisation stimulates peak and optimal experiences and individual\u2019s self-actualization through music education.
