The aim of this research was to examine teachers\u2019 opinions towards application of teaching and learning methods in citizenship education. Results obtained on a sample of 225 primary school teachers suggest that they most frequently applied methods of active and collaborative teaching and learning. Teachers that teach citizenship education in a more interdisciplinary way apply frequently offered methods, and teachers that teach citizenship education in extracurricular way or as a project apply more different teaching and learning methods. The proper choice of teaching and learning methods in educational practice is extremely important for achieving learning outcomes.
